What makes a photo go viral? Luck?  Strong emotion? How about a great photo?  In fact, it’s all of these.  With a great photo, a little bit of luck, and an emotional connection, your social media posts can go viral too. Whether you’re marketing yourself, an event, a product, a fundraiser, or a service do it with a great picture and you are sure to get the likes and shares you need to get your name out there.  Read on to learn about five ways you can start taking better photos for social media sharing right now.

1. Pay attention to your background: The last thing you want is a photobomb in your picture.  If you’re trying to sell tickets to a food event, a garbage can in the background would really turn people off.

2.  Get creative: Don’t do what everyone else does.  The more interesting and eye-catching your photo, the more attention it will get.Digital Marketing Photography

3.  Go natural: Save your money and don’t bother with buying professional lighting.  You don’t need it.  Natural light works best for taking the best photos.

4. Fill the entire frame:  A tiny dog in a giant background of white wall is not going to get noticed. But a picture of a tiny dog with his tiny tongue sticking out that fills up the whole frame, now that will get him adopted.

5. Odd numbers work best:  If you want to show off some products, do it in odd number groupings.  A picture of one or three products will be more visually appealing to consumers than a picture of two products.  The same goes for anything else you shoot; trees, statues, people, fruit…
