1. Pay attention to your background: The last thing you want is a photobomb in your picture. If you’re trying to sell tickets to a food event, a garbage can in the background would really turn people off.
2. Get creative: Don’t do what everyone else does. The more interesting and eye-catching your photo, the more attention it will get.
3. Go natural: Save your money and don’t bother with buying professional lighting. You don’t need it. Natural light works best for taking the best photos.
4. Fill the entire frame: A tiny dog in a giant background of white wall is not going to get noticed. But a picture of a tiny dog with his tiny tongue sticking out that fills up the whole frame, now that will get him adopted.
5. Odd numbers work best: If you want to show off some products, do it in odd number groupings. A picture of one or three products will be more visually appealing to consumers than a picture of two products. The same goes for anything else you shoot; trees, statues, people, fruit…
